How to Apply for Financial Aid
Federal financial aid is available to help eligible students with the cost of their education. Trident University participates in the Federal Pell Grant Program for undergraduate students, and the William S. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program for both undergraduate and graduate students. To apply for federal financial aid, please complete these steps:
- Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at:
http://www.FAFSA.ed.gov When completing your FAFSA online it is important to utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to ensure the correct income information is reported. In addition, utilizing the tool reduces your chances for being selected for income verification. - Enroll at Trident University at:
http://www.trident.edu/application - Log onto Trident’s Student Services System (SSS) to fill out remaining financial aid documents at:
http://sss.trident.edu - If you have not received a Trident SSS login, contact the Student One Stop (SOS) Department at:
sos@trident.edu
Financial Aid Payment Period Enrollment Policy
Students seeking federal financial aid must register for all courses they intend to take for the 24 week payment period, which is two non-overlapping 12 week sessions. Students must be registered for both 12 week sessions prior to the start date of the first 12 week session in order to maintain eligibility to receive their first disbursement for the academic year. Undergraduate should be registered in a minimum of two courses per session and graduate students should be registered in a minimum of one course per session. Disbursements will be made upon satisfaction of all requirements as set forth in the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
