What is MDP?
MDP – Military Discount Program is a special discount program for US Military.
How do I get Tuition Assistance?
Once you enroll at Trident University, you will receive a Registration Confirmation via e-mail. Please take this letter to your Education Center to have your TA processed. Once the TA is processed, you must fax your TA acceptance documents to (714) 364-9793. Within 24 hours, you will receive a “TA Confirmation” from your Tuition Assistance Coordinator.
What other options can we look into while waiting for TA to be processed?
Promissory note, Veteran Affairs, Financial Aid and pay out-of-pocket
- Promissory Note: This is a document that you can use to personally guarantee to TUI that you are responsible for all tuition and fees. If you are sure that you will get your TA and would like to speed up the process, you may send us a signed promissory note. Please fill out the Promissory Form online.
- VA Benefits: If this is your first session using VA benefits for tuition, and you have not already started the paperwork, please feel free to contact our VA Representatives for further guidance.

- Pay-Out-Of-Pocket: You have several options to pay TUI out of pocket. During the registration process, you can select Payment type “credit card” and pay via our secure credit card processing. You can also select to pay by check and mail us a check to:

Registration Confirmation
You can obtain a Registration Confirmation – a letter that outlines course(s) enrolled complete with title and description – by contacting Ms. Sandy You or Ms. Bret Isgette or via e-mail.
Check your Military Tuition Assistance Form
Be sure the following items are correct:
- The Course Number and Name (example: ABC101 – Course Name) matches the course you have enrolled in.
- The course start and end dates are as stated on your registration confirmation
- The cost is $250 per graduate semester hour and $250 per Undergraduate semester hour
- The total under “Paid by Army or Paid by Gov” is correct as stated on your Registration Confirmation
- The Education Center billing address is present at the bottom of the TA Form
- You have signed your Tuition Assistance Form
- Education Center signature
