Tuition Deferral and Promissory Notes
Tuition Deferral
Trident University offers students the option of enrolling and deferring tuition by submitting a deferral agreement. Financial Aid deferral will defer your tuition payment until TUI receives the funds from your lender(s). Please note that if for any reason your funds are canceled, you will remain personally responsible for all tuition payments that have been deferred.
Use the web forms listed to submit your Tuition Deferral Forms and/or Promissory Notes to the TUI Finance Department. You may also print out PDF forms and FAX them to (714) 816-0367.

Tuition Payment Plan
Beginning November 10, 2009, month-to-month payments plans like the ACH and 50/50 Tuition Deferrals will no longer be administered by Trident University. Students will only be able to pay 100% of their portion when making any tuition payments directly to Trident University (including payments made online, over the phone, wire transfers, and by check).
If you do not have the funds for the lump-sum payment at the beginning of each term, you may have your tuition paid in easy-to-manage installments using a feature called TuitionPay Plan offer through our third party service provider Sallie Mae.
Sallie Mae TuitionPay is an interest-free & debt-free plan that allows you to break your tuition into 2 or 4 payments that will be processed and handled through Sallie Mae. The TuitionPay Plan is not a loan, so there are no interest payments, just a low annual enrollment fee.
Payments will be deducted from either a checking/savings account or from a major credit/debit card (American Express/Discover/MasterCard/Visa). No check processing fees when you pay online on or before the due date; however, there will be a convenience fee for credit/debit card payments.
Visa is not accepted by Sallie Mae. Visa is accepted at Trident University for 100% tuition payments only.
To sign up, please login into your student account at https://sss.trident.edu. Select Tuition Payments and select your course(s) you want to pay for and click “Add to queue.” Select SallieMae in Payment Information and choose a payout. Once you complete all required information, you will be redirected to Sallie Mae TuitionPay Plan website to complete the arrangement. Read all terms & conditions and keep a copy of your confirmation.
