Trident Academic Levels

Trident University offers three academic levels, each with its own tuition and fee structure:

Bachelors Level Tuition

The tuition cost for the Bachelors program (100-400 level courses) is US $350 per semester credit hour or US $1,400 per course (All Trident courses are 4 semester credit hours).

The tuition cost for Retired Military or Veterans of the military in the Bachelors program (100-400 level courses) is US $275 per semester credit hour or US $1,100 per course.


The tuition cost for military students using Military Tuition Assistance; military spouses or Partnerships in the Bachelors program (100-400 level courses) is US $250 per semester credit hour or US $1,000 per course.



Masters Level Tuition

The tuition cost for the Masters program (500 level courses) is US $475 per semester credit hour or US $1,900 per course (All Trident courses are 4 semester credit hours).

The tuition cost for Retired Military or Veterans of the military in the Masters program (500 level courses) is US $350 per semester credit hour or US $1,400 per course.


The tuition cost for military students using Military Tuition Assistance or Veteran benefits and military spouses in the Masters program (500 level courses) is US $300 per semester credit hour or US $1,200 per course.


The tuition cost for Partnerships in the Masters program (500 level courses) is US $300 per semester credit hour or US $1,200 per course.



Doctoral Level Tuition

Ed.D. Program

The tuition cost for the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program (600 and 700 level courses) is US $700 per semester credit hour or US $2,800 per course (All Trident courses are 4 semester credit hours).

The tuition cost for military students using Military Tuition Assistance or Veteran benefits*; military spouses, Retired Military, and Veterans of the military in the Ed.D. program (600 and 700 level courses) is US $625 per semester credit hour or US $2,500 per course.

*Please note Federal Financial Aid or Veteran benefits are currently not available for this program.


The tuition cost for Partnerships in the Ed.D. program (600 and 700 level courses) is US $625 per semester credit hour or US $2,500 per course.



Ph.D. Program

The tuition cost for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program (600 and 700 level courses) is US $900 per semester credit hour or US $3,600 per course (All Trident courses are 4 semester credit hours).

Standard and Military students in the Dissertation Series (700 -702 level courses) will register for one course of four semester credit hours per session. After completion of the Dissertation Series students will register for the Dissertation Continuation (703 and above) for one course per session for a cost of US $800 per session.

University Fees

  • Application fee for Doctoral programs (no application fee for Bachelor and Masters programs) - US $75 (Non-refundable)
  • Student ID Card (optional) - US $10
  • Official Transcripts can be ordered online - US $10 (rush fee $25)
  • Lab fee for students enrolled in courses with a lab portion (optional) - US $59
  • Additional copy of Diploma (optional) - US $30
  • Bounced check fee - US $30
  • Payment Plan set-up fee - US $30
  • Other expedited shipping fees - varies based on region
