Dr. Dorothea (Dede) Myers
Part-time Faculty - University College
Dr. Myers has spent a number of years doing research in microbiology and biochemistry in University and commercial settings. During this time, she had the opportunity to mentor graduate students and supervise lab personnel. Most recently, she was Director of Production in a small biotechnology company, supervising the development of antibody-based therapeutics against leukemia/cancer. Dr. Myers continues to be a consultant in this field of cancer treatment.

Dr. Myers' areas of expertise include (a) microbiology, (b) biochemistry, and (c) cancer treatment.
Professional Experience
Over the years, Dr. Myers was fortunate to be able to participate in a number of cutting edge research projects relating to the fields of agriculture and medicine. She worked with professors who were outstanding in their respective fields and learned a great deal from these experiences. Most recently she has been developing targeted therapies for various forms of cancer, using monoclonal antibodies linked to toxins, enzymes, drugs, etc. She continues to be a consultant in this arena.
