Dr. I. Lynne Adams
Part-Time Faculty - Glenn R. Jones College of Business
Dr. Lynne Adams has over 29 years of experience providing innovative human resources initiatives to higher education, business, government, and non-profit organizations. She has developed a career path based upon her passion and commitment to improving organizational commitment, strategic focus, faculty/instructor development, team cohesiveness, and leadership skills within organizations. She has developed and implemented large-scale organizational development, leadership, and career development initiatives that have had a significant impact on propelling organizations to maximize their skills and their talent. Over the past 17 years, she has served in leadership positions in corporate, public health, finance, non-profit and higher education (University of Illinois @Chicago & Technical College Systems of Georgia) environments. She currently serves as Associate Vice President-CHRO in Higher Education in Maryland.
Dr. Adams completed her B.S. at Oakland University in Human Resources Development (minor in Labor Relations), MEd at Wayne State University in Instructional Design and Technology, and her Ph.D. at Capella University in the school of business in General Organization & Management. A master facilitator she is certified in coaching, leadership and team-based training curricula and instruments. Additionally, she has served as an adjunct faculty for two universities in the school of business focusing on organizational behavior, strategy and leadership courses.
A pioneer in her own right, Dr. Adams founded Empowerment Resources NCC, a faith-based organization focusing on career and job development, a food pantry, and professional clothing distribution center for unemployed populations in Georgia. Starting with one program, Empowerment Resources grew to a series of annual mega fairs to include job and health fairs serving approximately 2,500 people annually with job readiness skills and placement assistance.
