Rachel Schek

Dr. Schek is an interdisciplinary engineer and educator. After completing her PhD, Dr. Schek worked as a product development engineer in the medical device field. She then migrated to technology transfer work, where she used her broad background in engineering to assess technologies and promote their licensing. Throughout her education and her career, Dr. Schek has engaged in tutoring and teaching. She has developed and taught courses in various areas of mathematics and the physical sciences.

Dr. Schek’s areas of expertise include mathematics and the physical sciences including chemistry, biology, and ecology.
Professional Experience
Dr. Schek earned a PhD in Biomedical engineering. She has instructed students in a variety of environments both online and on-ground. As an engineer, her work focused on the development of medical devices. Professionally, she has applied her cross-disciplinary expertise to new inventions for commercial development and as a technical writer of grants, white papers, and technical press releases.
