Dr. Marcia Mills
Part-time Faculty - College of Health and Human Services
Like many of Trident’s students, my educational career was as a nontraditional adult student, starting with obtaining an undergraduate degree through the weekend program at the College of St Catherine, St. Paul, MN in Business with emphasis in marketing, accounting, and insurance as a single parent. I received both a MSPH and a Ph.D. in Public Health online from Walden University. My dissertation pertained to identifying adults with special needs within a Medicaid population using administrative data. My research interests include chronic disease, care coordination, rural health, critical thinking, and community-based health. I have over 30 years experience in health service research obtained in multiple settings (e.g. health insurance, managed care, workers compensation, social services) in Iowa and Minnesota.
