A Doctoral Study Committee will be assembled when students begin their research. Each committee consists of three faculty members, one of whom serves as chair of the committee. The chairperson and the committee members will be responsible for guiding the student during the research process.

You will complete 52 semester hours. Students with a completed Master’s of Education degree are eligible for up to 8 transfer credits, subject to approval.
The Doctor of Education degree program accepts up to 20 semester credits of transfer coursework from regionally accredited doctoral or masters granting institutions (a maximum of 8 credits of transfer coursework may be accepted from a completed Masters in a related field); subject to approval by the Dean or Designee

A Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is a terminal degree program designed to help graduates prepare to pursue a potential career path in a variety of areas such as organizational leadership, consulting, or teaching. It is a research-based program to provide students with skills in quantitative and qualitative methods, writing, and presentation. Students who study in this program will identify, evaluate, and solve complex business challenges that exist within the internal organization and the external environment.
Doctoral degree programs and time of completion are dependent on a student’s previous credits*, proficiency, and other factors. Many students who attend this program work full-time. Quarterly start dates give students flexibility in timing their coursework.

In this program, students will take a total of 8 core courses and 4 dissertation courses before their dissertation seminar.

Credits for Prior Learning
Trident may award doctoral credit for professional experience in the discipline. Students may submit an experiential portfolio for assessment to the appropriate Doctoral Studies Director.
