I found Trident University through a colleague of mine that had been through the program about four years earlier. [MUSIC] My goal for attending Trident was to be able to better myself, to be able to work in the world of global health, specifically HIV/AIDS and prevention. Dr, Frank Gomez was my favorite professor.

He was always there to encourage me and giving me that great boost of, I could do this. She was able to hold down international travel. She still is a great mother to her daughter and her son-in-law all while handling very rigorous course work and being very professional at her job as well as in other parts of her life.

Trident has provided the perfect venue facility for her to continue her work at CDC and just continue to be present with her family. Our mom is phenomenal, amazing. She’ll always be my number one. [MUSIC] >> This is a very special day for me. I’m looking forward to the new opportunities that my PhD and health science will afford me to go.
