As announced by ICDC College, the Teach-out plan has received approval of ICDC’s accreditor, Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, Trident’s accreditor, WASC Senior College and University Commission, and was also accepted by the U.S. Department of Education and the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.
Rest assured that Trident is committed to ensuring a seamless transition and providing you the support you need to complete your program of study. To this end, Trident agreed to employ select ICDC College’s instructors, staff. There will be little to no interruption in your education – you will continue to have the same instructors, support staff, and program that you are used to at no additional charge beyond the charges agreed to in your enrollment agreement with ICDC.
Should you wish to participate in the Teach-out and continue your education, you will login to your account and class in the same manner in which you have always logged into your classes. Upon program completion students will graduate with an ICDC credential that includes the original BPPE school number and reference to Trident as a Teach-out partner.
You are not required to participate in the Teach-out with Trident. Feel free to contact your advisor at ICDC to discuss options. In the event that you choose to not take part in the Teach-out, there may be a need to process refunds of aid previously received. Your advisor at ICDC can provide more information regarding applicable refunds or return of aid.
*VA students must contact their advisor regarding the implications of the Teach-out on their certification and benefits. Trident is in the process of obtaining approval to offer ICDC programs for certification purposes from the VA State Approving agency. This process may take approximately 30 days.
