December 23, 2021 – Chandler, AZ – Trident University International (Trident) has been named to Washington Monthly’s 2021 National University Rankings, placing at 228 out of 381 surveyed institutions. Regionally, Trident comes in at 56 for “Best Bang for the Buck” in the western region of the U.S.
Washington Monthly’s National University Rankings consist of four-year institutions that award a significant number of doctoral degrees.
Trident placed in the top 25% of surveyed schools on the National Rankings list for social mobility, coming in at 94. The factors contributing to the total social mobility score include graduation rates, the affordability of an institution, the diversity of the student population, and more.
Washington Monthly has ranked colleges and universities since 2005 based on what they do for the country – and their respective graduates. Institutions on the National University Rankings list are measured in three equally-weighted areas: social mobility, research, and the promotion of public service.
Trident opened its doors in 1998, offering 100% online Ph.D. programs. The University currently offers six online doctoral-level degrees. Trident is military-centric, with many students who have a military background, including those actively serving, veterans, and military spouses.
