Keith Murphy or “Murph” as he is best known was born in Pittsburgh, PA, raised in Gary, IN and served 21 years in the USAF. During his military career, he served in several diverse capacities; Dental Assistant, Security Forces, Honor Guard, Equal Opportunity Advisor, and AFN Radio personality. His tours of duty include Alabama, Korea, New Mexico, and Panama. He closed out his military career as a Silver Badge recruiter on the Southside of Chicago. His goal was to introduce young men and women to the opportunity of a life time, to serve in the world’s greatest Air Force.
After retirement, he transitioned into the field of higher education. Where he has served in various positions from Admission Advisor to Regional Director of Education. He is a firm believer in servant leadership and helping others to grow. His personal motto is: “Healthy things grow, growing things change, and changes challenge us to grow stronger.”
His passion is helping military service members,’ Active duty, Reserve, National Guard, Veterans, and their families to grow utilizing the power of education. He knows firsthand the importance of completing an education early in your military career and not making the mistake he did of waiting until retirement.
Currently, he is working toward his master’s degree and wants to help as many service members as he can to not put off to tomorrow what they can do today. Murph is married to his childhood sweet heart Patricia, they have been married for over 30 years, they have two adult children and he is also an ordained minister.
