We collect contact information. For example, we may collect your name and mailing address. This may include your zip code. We might also collect phone numbers and email addresses.
We collect application and tuition information. For example we collect this information in your application for admission and financial aid. This includes Social Security number and date of birth. It also includes citizenship or military status. We may also collect information about other schools you have attended and income history. We collect information you post or submit. We collect information you post in a public space on our Platforms. This may include posts you make on course discussion boards or our social media pages. We may also collect your social media profile information. We might also collect the information you submit to us, such as through our live chat feature.
We collect job application information. If you apply for a job through our Platform, we collect the information you include in your application. For example, this may include the name and address of your employer and your employment history.
We collect demographic information. We may collect your age and gender. We may also collect information about your race or ethnicity.
We collect device and location information. We collect the type and make of device you use to access our Platforms. We may also collect information about the browser you are using. We might look at what site you came from, or what site you visit when you leave us. We may collect information across the devices you use to access our Platform. If you use our app, we might look at how often you use the app and where you downloaded it. This might include your device identification number, IP address or mobile operating system. We may also collect location information.
WE COLLECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU IN SEVERAL WAYS
We collect information directly from you. For example, we might collect information when you request information about our products and services or sign up for an event. We might also collect information when you sign up to receive communications from us.
We collect information from you passively. We use common tracking technologies to collect information passively. This includes when you use our Platforms or our WiFi services.
We collect information from third parties. We may receive information about you from other sources. This might include our business partners. It may also include our education partners, such as organizations that administer college-level exams, manage records related to education, or provide scholarships, grants and other financial aid. It might also include other academic institutions. It also includes friends who use our referral features. We may also get information about you from social media platforms.

We may combine information that we collect offline with information we collect online. We may also combine information you submit or that we track across multiple devices. We may also combine information we collect from you with information we get about you from others.

WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS AND THIRD PARTIES.
We share your information within the Trident University family of companies. This includes our network of schools and the Career Education Foundation Scholarship Fund
We share your information with service providers who perform services on our behalf. For example, this may include payment processors or companies that provide identity verification services. It may also include companies that fulfill transcript requests or send communications on our behalf.
We share information with our business partners. For example, this may include third parties that provide educational products and services related to our business. It may also include social media sites or a third party that co-sponsors a promotion.
We share information with those who help pay for your education. We may share your information with family members or employers who help pay your tuition. YOU HAVE CERTAIN CHOICES ABOUT HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails. To stop receiving our promotional emails, follow the instructions in any promotional message you receive from us. Note that even if you opt out of our promotional emails, you will still receive transactional messages from us.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
Pursuant to the California “Shine the Light” law of 20031, if you reside in California, you have the right to ask us one time each year if we have shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) of 20182 creates new consumer rights relating to the access to, deletion of, and sharing of personal information for California residents. YOUR NEVADA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you reside in Nevada, you have the right to ask us at any time to review the personal information that we have collected through our website(s) or the services we provide and to request changes. Subject to the terms of applicable Nevada law3, you may also submit a request directing us not to sell certain covered personal information we have collected or will collect about you. OUR PLATFORMS AND CHILDREN
Our Platforms are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at privacymatters@trident.edu. WE USE STANDARD SECURITY MEASURES
The Internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that your use of our Platform will be completely safe. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet. We use reasonable means to safeguard personal information under our control. User IDs and passwords are needed to access certain areas of our Platform. It is your responsibility to protect your username and password.
STORAGE OF INFORMATION
Information we maintain may be stored in the United States. If you live outside of the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your personal information to the United States. This site is subject to U.S. laws, which may not provide the same level of protections as those in your own country. We may retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Appendix A – California Specific Privacy Notice
Our California Specific Privacy Notice supplements the information in our Privacy Policy. The following material applies only to residents of California4. Your Right to Opt-Out/Do Not Sell My Information. You have the right, at any time, to direct us not to sell your personal information to third parties, as defined under the CCPA. This is also referred to as your right to opt-out. A third party is not permitted to sell your personal information unless we have provided you with notice that your personal information may be sold and have been provided and opportunity to exercise your rights to opt-out.
You have the right to opt-out of sales, within the meaning of the CCPA, of certain information subject to the CCPA. - Subscribe to our publications such as newsletters, alumni communications, career services information, investor updates or webinars;
- Request marketing be sent to you such as by email, mail, phone, live chat or text messaging;
- Interact with our website such as through our application center, FA calculator, live chat, or providing your contact information;
- Interact with our social media pages, commenting on or liking posts;
- Enter a competition, sweepstakes, or promotion;
- Complete a survey or other assessment tool.
- Provide information in-person at industry events, school events or other venues, or by phone, fax, online chat, text message, or email; or
- Provide information or apply for a position on our job information website.
- Automated technologies or interactions. As you interact with our website or mobile application, we may automatically collect data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies and other similar technologies. We may also receive technical information about you if you visit other websites employing our cookies. USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use and/or disclose the personal information we collect about you for one or more of the following business purposes:
- We use your information to identify and authenticate. We use your information to verify when you access your account.
- We use your information to communicate with you. This includes determining your eligibility for our services, maintaining or servicing your account, providing customer service, processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying your information, processing payments, providing financial aid processing, providing advertising or marketing services, providing analytic services, collections activity, responding to your questions or inquiries or notifying you if you won a promotion. We will also use your information to send you information about your account or about our relationship. We may send push notifications to you from our mobile application, SMS text messaging services, or other similar services that you have opted into;
- We use your information for marketing purposes. We may provide you with information about current or new products and services or other ads. We might use your information to serve you with ads. We may also have our service providers serve you with ads about our products and services. We may audit consumer transactions, including, but not limited to, counting ad impressions to unique visitors, verifying positioning and quality of ad impressions. We may engage in short-term, transient use of your personal information, provided your personal information is not disclosed to another third party and is not used to build a profile about you or otherwise alter your experience outside your current interaction, including, but not limited to, the contextual customization of ads shown as part of the same interaction.

SUBMITTING A REQUEST
To exercise your access, disclosure, and deletion rights, as a California resident, you must submit a verifiable consumer request to us. We have outlined the procedure below.
- You may submit your request9 online at: Privacy Data Request. This is the most efficient way to make your request. You may also contact us via our toll-free number (888)983-3498 or at privacymatters@trident.edu.
- You will be asked to provide certain personal information that we will review against our records to validate your identity.
We require this personal information to prevent identity theft or fraud, and in some cases we may need to contact you for additional information or clarification to comply with your request. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided to verify your identity or the requestor’s authority to make the request.
- We will respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt.
If we require additional time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account with us, we will deliver our written response to that account. If you do not have an account with us, we will deliver our written response by mail or e-mail, per your preference.
- For a disclosure request, once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will provide you with:
- The categories of personal information we collected about you.
- The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you.
- Our business or commercial purpose for collecting that personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
- The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you in the previous twelve (12) months.
- If we disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, the personal information categories that each recipient was provided.
- You are permitted to make two (2) disclosure requests in a 12-month period.
- For a deletion request, once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exemption(s) applies.
If any exemption to your deletion request applies, we will provide a written response of the applicable CCPA deletion exemption(s) and how it applies to your personal information.
- For disclosure requests, we will provide your personal information in a format that is readily useable and can be transmitted to another organization or business without difficulty.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will explain why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

- A California resident, referred to as a Consumer, is anyone who meets the definition of resident as defined under the California Tax provisions. (Section 17014 of Title18 of the California Code of Regulations).
- Under the CCPA, the term “third party” is limited to a person who is not any of the following: 1.The business that collects personal information from consumers under this title. 2. A person to whom the business discloses a consumer’s personal information for a business purpose pursuant to a written contract.
- Our organization does not sell personal information for monetary gain. The CCPA defines “Sell,” “selling,” “sale,” or “sold,” as meaning selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
- Chapter 3.6 (commencing with Section 1546) of Title 12 of Part 2 of the Penal Code.
- Personal information does not include:
- Publicly available information from government records.
- De-identified or aggregated consumer information.
- Information excluded from the CCPA’s scope, like:
-health or medical information covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) or clinical trial data; - Personal information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FRCA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) or California Financial Information Privacy Act (FIPA), and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994.
- Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.
