Stephen "Steph" Groce

Stephen Groce serves as an Asset Protection and Safety Leader for various retail, commercial, and non-profit organizations. He specializes in investigation, recovery, and training and development of staff and policies. He also is active with several community groups, including the San Diego Police Department Advisory Board and a city of San Diego neighborhood coalition.
2016, Groce ran for a seat on the San Diego Unified School District board, demonstrating his desire to play an active role in making the classroom, schools, and learning environment a safer, better place for student, teacher, parent, and neighborhood engagement, while forging a future filled with unlimited possibilities.

I believe that Trident prepared me for the biggest challenge of my life thus far, running for the San Diego Unified School District board. My bid has been strengthened by the research methodology, learning and teaching strategies, communication techniques, and respect for the collaborative efforts of others that Trident prides itself. Many of these tools were gained while attending Trident but my work and civic volunteer experiences have helped me hone them into finely tuned strategic, organizational, and financial instruments.
