With Trident, you’ll earn your degree and so much more. Our virtual Center for Career Planning and Workforce Strategies will help you take learning and leadership to the next level. We provide assistance in career planning, job search, self-assessment and career transition / advancement advising.

Trident does not provide placement services for students or graduates. Trident cannot and does not guarantee that students or graduates will be placed in any particular position or place of employment. However, with hard work and guidance from our dedicated team, you will learn to thoughtfully and successfully employ the skills and knowledge gained throughout your educational journey at Trident.

How We Can Help

Career Services endeavors to provide students and alumni with resources, guidance and support to inform and empower them to direct the course of their careers. The Center for Career Planning and Workforce Strategies will serve as a collaborative partner with students, alumni, staff, faculty and the community in identifying opportunities for career and personal growth that require application of the unique skillsets of our students and alumni in ways that maximize their contributions to their employers and to their community.

Our goal is to provide high quality, relevant resources and services to assist Trident students and alumni worldwide with career planning and job search. Our services will enhance your ability to:

  • Seek new employment, advance your position, or more effectively manage challenges in your current career.
  • Transition to a new career field, including military students who are transitioning to civilian work.

Career Center Webinar Wednesdays

The Center for Career Planning and Workforce Strategies is pleased to offer a range of webinars covering job search skills, career development and transition. Presented by Career Center and Marketing staff, Faculty, Employers, and Industry Specialists, this growing series of webinars covers topics such as resume development, interviewing, salary negotiation, career transition, assessment, selecting a career field, and what it’s like to work in various industries or for specific employers, – and more!

Career Center webinars are routinely conducted on the second Wednesday of each month and are open to students and alumni. Additionally, all career services virtual events are open to members of our military community, to include Active, Reserve, National Guard, Dependents, and Veterans.

Learn More About Our Student Support Services

When you pursue your education online with Trident, you’ll have access to an array of student services in the Career Center. Many of these resources are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week through My Career Center on our student portal. My Career Center is a password-protected, virtual career center designed to assist students and alumni in career readiness – assessment, job exploration and professional development.

Recruiting Services

My Career Center works to connect students with companies offering employment opportunities. The virtual center hosts a job posting and interview scheduling system. Employers use the system to post jobs, view resumes and setup virtual interviews. Students can use My Career Center to apply for jobs and schedule interviews.

Internships

Through our virtual portal, you will also be able to browse internship opportunities offered through leading agencies across the country. You’ll also have visibility to select opportunities created by Trident faculty, specifically for our students. Internships are a great way to:

  • Work on cutting-edge projects.
  • Network and build connections with potential employers.
  • Gain experience that will help you transition into a new field.
Career Advising

Our Career Advisors provide mock interviews and one-on-one resume critiques. Appointments can be scheduled on My Career Center.
You will have access to professional staff members to assist you with:

  • Resume writing
  • Interview skills
  • Job search techniques
  • Offer negotiation and more!

Mentoring

Trident University has thousands of graduates. Many of them want to give back, share their own unique experiences and “pay it forward” by connecting with current students. The virtual Career Advising and Development Center and our Alumni Association have partnered to facilitate a Mentor Matching service that connects Trident graduates with current students in a mentoring relationship. Use My Career Center to connect with alumni who will inspire, motivate and inform your career entry, transition or advancement journey!
