What Does the WASC Accreditation Mean for Our Students?
Trident University is the first fully online university regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College and University Commission. Regional Accreditation is recognized by many in higher education as the gold standard that validates the challenging and rewarding academics that make the Trident Learning Model so uniquely effective.
BPPE – Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education
This institution is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
Trident operates in most U.S. states, either through authorization, exemption, licensure, or registration. Some states require that approval – related statements be posted on the university website, and some states list “approved” institutions on their websites. Refer to the University Catalog and State Authorization document for further details about Trident’s state authorization status.
Minnesota and Oregon Residents: Registration is limited for currently enrolled students as Trident is not authorized to enroll any new or prospective students in Minnesota or Oregon.
