Part-time Faculty - College of Health and Human Services

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health from North Carolina A & T State University, a Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Doctorate in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University. Currently, I am on faculty at Benedictine University, Essex County College, and Montclair State University. I have served as a Program Manager of Operational Services, Health Education Supervisor, and a Public Health Program Consultant for state and municipal level health agencies.

During my tenure with these agencies, I managed multi-million dollar grants, conducted community mapping, developed partnerships with other public health organizations, and assisted in the development of community health improvement plans. My efforts are always devoted toward educating disadvantaged communities with the hope of empowering citizens to work towards effective social change. I am a true pillar in the community and have published my teaching endeavors and research findings within various newsletters and The Reporter.

As a university professor, I enable my students to bring public health practice to life and understand the role of the community in improving health outcomes. I understand and appreciate the diverse backgrounds of my students, which enables me to provide them with the tools needed to be successful at Trident University and in the workforce.
