Dr. Analisa Smith

Part-time Faculty - College of Education

Dr. Analisa L. Smith is a teacher, a professor, Educational Consultant, and a learning disabilities advocate. Dr. Smith serves on Learning Disabilities Association advisory boards, at state and national levels, and as an expert consultant with Understood. Dr. Smith is certified in nine areas of education in two states and holds a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education from Columbia College, an M.Ed. in Education from the University of South Carolina, and a Doctorate of Education in Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Smith is the author of Transition Toolbox: Postsecondary Success for the Student with a Disability, a book that focuses upon transition issues and services for the mildly disabled individual. Dr. Smith believes all students can learn when provided with the proper tools for engagement and taught in a manner that serves them best.
