Non-Degree Seeking students will be charged the same tuition rates for the applicable credential level (undergraduate courses are charged at the bachelor’s rate and master’s courses are charged at the master’s rate).

Prospectus and Proposal Courses: Students will be responsible for paying an adjusted tuition charge of $850 for a repeated doctoral prospectus course or doctoral proposal course a maximum of two times per eligible course.
Doctoral Study Project: Doctoral Study Continuation courses are $625, and enrollment is subject to approval by the College Dean or Designee. All courses not listed are charged per credit hour charge for any repeats.
Dissertation: All Dissertation Continuation courses are $800, and enrollment is subject to approval by the College Dean or Designee. All courses not listed are charged per credit hour charge for any repeats.

The cost of attendance (COA), is the average academic year education-related cost for attending a program at an institution of higher education. Expected charges include direct costs, such as tuition and fees, and indirect costs (not charged directly by Trident), such as housing and food, travel, books and supplies, and other personal expenses. The COA will differ based on various circumstances, such as your enrollment status and living situation. Students living with their parents should reference the ‘With Parent’ components below. Students receiving Military Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) should reference the ‘BAH’ components below. All other students should reference the ‘Off-Campus’ components below.
Below are the COA components for the 2024-25 academic year. At Trident, a full time academic year consists of two semesters which is generally seven months in length.

The University reserves the right to change tuition as it deems necessary. Many factors can impact the total tuition cost and time to completion such as course loads, course repetitions, transfer or proficiency credits, and approved leaves of absence. Doctoral program completion time and cost also depends on an individual student’s time needed to complete all required dissertation or doctoral project requirements which vary by student.
