You will take 36-48 semester credit hours of core courses. Each core course is worth four semester credit hours. Course topics range from Technology and Business Process Improvement to Applied Statistics for Research in Business and Management.

The Doctor of Business Administration program accepts up to 12 semester credits of doctoral level coursework from regionally accredited doctoral granting institutions; subject to approval by the Program Director.

Designed to help doctoral students follow their progress, Trident’s Doctoral Positioning System (DPS) allows students to track the completion of tasks and milestones that are required to obtain their doctorate and provides a single place to submit and store documents and track completed tasks.

Pursuant to Federal law and regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval is required for research involving human subjects. Accordingly, prior to conducting research involving human subjects, including the collecting and analyzing of data, the proposed study must be reviewed and approved by the Trident IRB.

Students who study in this program will explore topics related to the interdependence of organizational systems at various levels, organizational leadership that promotes diversity and ensures accountability and organizational sustainability, and complex challenges that exist within the internal organization and the external environment.

Doctoral degree programs and time of completion are dependent on a student’s previous credits*, proficiency, and other factors. Many students who attend this program work full-time. Quarterly start dates give students flexibility in timing their coursework.

The total number of credits required for this program is 36 -48 credit hours. Additional credits may include transfer credits* from a professional certificate, diploma, or from a military occupation or ranking.
