Trident University International Releases Updated Mobile App

May 31, 2017 – Cypress, CA – Trident University International (Trident) is excited to announce a major update to their mobile app. First launched in 2014, this free app is available for Apple (both iPhone and iPad) and Android devices.

With a focus on enhancing the student experience, Trident wanted an app that would facilitate communication, streamline access to the Trident Learning Community (TLC), and provide a central location for the academic calendar, social media accounts, and University news.

"Our students tend to have a full-time job in addition to their classes, so they rely on their smartphones for communication and accessing TLC," said Vahid Shariat, Trident's Chief Information Officer. "This update gives students increased options and the ability to quickly access the most important Trident services. We will be adding new features every quarter to enhance the student and faculty experience while using TLC."

Since Trident has a largely adult and military-affiliated student population spread out across the globe, connectivity and ease of access were important factors addressed in this update. No matter where students are located, they will be able to access the information that they need.

Trident's mobile app can be downloaded from the Apple store and Google Play for Android devices.

Trident, a 100% online university that has been in operation since 1998, is regionally accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Active duty military, veterans, National Guard, and military dependents make up 79% of the University's student population, and Trident is proud to employ many veterans at its faculty, staff, and management levels. Of Trident's 32,000 alumni, more than 27,000 have a military affiliation.
