September 27, 2019 – Cypress, CA – Payel Madero, Program Coordinator for Trident University International’s (Trident) Medical Billing and Coding Certificates, has published the book, The Complete RHIT and RHIA Prep. It is available through Jones & Bartlett Learning beginning November 1.
This book – aligned to the updated 2014 American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Core Competencies – is a key guide to the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Exam Competency Standards through interactive models, online test prep, and an accompanying text designed to help students prepare for the RHIT exam.
An experienced practitioner, educator, and author, Madero has over 20 years of healthcare experience. She has been a consultant, software designer, medical biller and coder, and has served as Co-Entrepreneur and Chief Operating Officer of Healthcare Business Services Groups, Inc.
Madero has been an instructor at a number of institutions, including CSU Fullerton and DeVry University. She served as a contributor to Insurance Handbook for the Medical Office, 13th Edition, by Marilyn Fordney, and Kinn’s The Medical Assistant, 13th Edition.
Trident launched its Medical Billing and Coding Certificate program in April 2018. Expected time of completion is nine months for the Medical Billing Certificate and twelve months for the Medical Billing and Coding Certificate.
Madero earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Service Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, both from DeVry University in Pomona, CA.
