Vahid Shariat
Chief Information Officer
Vahid Shariat as Chief Information Officer of Trident University and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. He is responsible for all aspects of technology and information system supporting Trident Students, Faculty, and staff with online resources accessible from everywhere. Vahid is an Information Technology executive with over 20 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing technology solutions for a variety of industries with online and global operations. He has extensive hands on experience in designing, implementing and managing business applications, always available online operations, and cloud-based technology infrastructure for global operations.
Prior to joining Trident University, Vahid served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Option One Mortgage Corporation, a leading financial services organization with global operation managing over $100 Billion residential mortgage portfolio. Vahid was responsible for over 150+ global IT professionals and all aspects of information technology supporting loan origination, loan servicing, and loan packaging. He was instrumental in extending the technology platform and establishing efficient management structure and processes to optimize the IT cost structure and performance.
Prior to joining Option One, Vahid served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a global business process outsourcing company, PeopleSupport, where he was responsible for delivering technology and outsourcing services to all PeopleSupport fortune 500 clients. As member of executive team, he contributed to growing PeopleSupport from a small and private firm to a global and public company with products ranging from on-line customer service and Software as a Services (SaaS) to debt collections and business process outsourcing. Prior to PeopleSupport, Mr. Shariat led many consulting engagements and business development efforts at Ernst & Young and Hewlett Packard Consulting with focus on CRM, online service delivery, business process reengineering, and business intelligence.
