Ph.D. Alumnus Publishes Book on Stock Market Trading Methods

April 14, 2022 – Chandler, AZ – Dr. John Sinclair, a graduate of Trident University International’s (Trident) Ph.D. in Business Administration program, has published the book The Secret to Trading the Open.

Always fascinated by business, Dr. Sinclair formed Positive Trends Research, a company that educates professionals involved in the financial markets. A project built on his passion and expertise, The Secret to Trading the Open examines a method that he found which can increase chances of profitability when trading certain stocks at the opening bell. He is passionate about helping others become successful in business, stock, futures, and options markets.

It is my hope that this book will allow readers to become familiar with this technique and to evaluate whether it will be effective in conjunction with their current methods,” explains Dr. Sinclair. “It is a technique that can be incorporated with current skills to help traders increase chances for profitability. Dr. Sinclair is a 2021 graduate of Trident’s Ph.D. in Business Administration program where he completed his dissertation titled, “Analysis of Leadership and Perceived Leader Effectiveness in IT Project Success.” Dr. Sinclair is a veteran of the U.S. military, where he served as a nuclear officer. His fascination with business, particularly leadership, is what drove him to pursue a Ph.D. while working in civilian nuclear industry roles across multiple Asia Pacific nations.

Dr. Sinclair earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at American Military University and a bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania, with dual majors in computer science engineering and mathematics. He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
