Dr. Ludmila Kisseleva-Eggleton
Part-time Faculty - University College
My professional background is in both scientific research and education. I was trained as a Physics and Math school teacher in Russia and taught Physics and Math at a high school there for the first few years of my professional life. Then I started my graduate doctoral research in Computational Astrophysics (Physics of Stars) which resulted not just in Ph.D. degree, but in postdoctoral fellowships in India and Cambridge, UK, participation in many international conferences, many published research papers and finally in my move to California 17 years ago. While pursuing my scientific research I never stopped teaching. My teaching career has been a source of great joy. Communicating knowledge and leading my students through the process of learning and discovery has given me some of my most gratifying experiences.
