Dr. Jessica Weems
Part-time Faculty - University College
Dr. Weems received her BS degree in General Biology from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) in 2002, and then spent three years working as a research assistant in the Department of Pharmacology at UCSD. She received her PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Utah in 2010. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Cancer Therapeutics Training (CT2) Program at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center, during which she obtained a certification in Clinical Research Through Supplemental Training (CREST) in 2012. After completing her postdoctoral training, Dr. Weems worked as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical industry for two years. She joined the faculty in the Health and Human Services department at Trident in 2014, where she has taught Biology and Anatomy ever since.
