Dr. Mary Ray
Part-time Faculty - College of Health and Human Services
I strive to incorporate my experience in health care and knowledge of human services into my teaching. Understanding the “bio-psychosocial” aspects of human experience is, I think, essential to for achieving one’s life goals and realizing dreams. I have been a registered nurse and counselor in private practice, in addition to teaching in secondary schools and colleges. I believe that my students benefit from my “holistic” approach to education. Emotional, social and physical health factors can affect learning. Gaining insight into human behavior an essential part of integrating learned concepts into professional life and practice — in whatever field the student may choose to study.
