Dr. Jeffrey Smoot

Jeffrey Smoot originally from Chicago, started in Biomedical Technology in 1988. Moved to Atlanta in 1996. Jeff worked for Grady Healthcare, performed Y2K testing and Wellstar Health System. At Wellstar, he was a Senior Biomed and later a Cardiology and PACS administrator. His specialty was Cardiology integrated networks. Jeffrey Smoot has earned an Associate of Science in Electronics Technology, Associates of Applied Science in Biomedical Electronics Technology, Bachelors in Information Technology, Masters in Business Administration with concentrations in Healthcare Management/Project Management from American Intercontinental University, and Doctorate in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University. His research has been in the area of Virtual Reality, Touchless Interfaces, and there use in Healthcare and effectiveness in reducing nosocomial infections. He is the founder and Chief Scientist/Researcher for Interactive Healthcare Designs that designs these technologies for healthcare.
