November 11, 2015 - Cypress, CA - Trident University International (Trident) will be acknowledging Veterans Day on several fronts this year. The University has strong ties to the United States Armed Forces, as 79% of current students are active duty military, veterans, National Guard, or military dependents. Additionally, veterans comprise 29% of the faculty, management, and staff.

Trident will mark the holiday internally by acknowledging and thanking its employees who have served in any of the five branches of the military. Additionally, yellow ribbons will be available for all employees to wear and a public breakfast will be held for employees to thank their veteran colleagues for their service.

Externally, Trident's National Director of Strategic Military and Veteran Alliances, Philip F. Johndrow will take part in events hosted by Nationwide Insurance in San Antonio, TX on Veterans Day. Nationwide Insurance is a Trident University International education partner. Johndrow will deliver an inspirational speech to Nationwide's veteran employee group, highlighting the organizational value of a veteran and the unique leadership skills that these talented men and women bring to the table. The day will be capped off by a flag ceremony for all Nationwide employees in attendance.

Veterans Day is a time to honor those who have served our nation, giving them the thanks and acknowledgement that they deserve. There is a common bond that these men and women share, and that is an oath that they expressed in their willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice defending the United States.
