Cypress, CA, February 25, 2011 — Trident University International (TUI), a leader in online education, recently attended the 2011 Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Annual Symposium in January as part of their outreach program to support every branch of our nation’s military. The newly formed Military and Veteran Outreach Team joined over 3,500 attendees to learn about the present and upcoming environments involving recruiting, training, and education of Airmen, along with emerging and operational matters.
The AETC was established in 1993 as the first command to touch the life of almost every Air Force member, with a mission to develop America’s Airmen today…for tomorrow. Their Annual Symposium provided an opportunity for Air Force members, educators, and recruiters to see the most state of the art capabilities and information in the industry.
“We are fortunate that TUI’s Military and Veteran Outreach Team was able to attend this event,” said Dr. Steven Gold, TUI’s professor of Philosophy and Organizational studies, and one of this year’s seminar presenters. “Joining some of the nation’s sharpest instructors, recruiters and trainers in a passionate discussion on the present and the future of Airmen was an inspirational and valuable opportunity.”
At the event, Trident University International had the honor of hosting CMSgt (Ret) Steve Sullens, former ACC Command Chief Master Sergeant; CMSgt (Ret) Tony Bishop, former PACAF Command Chief Master Sergeant and TUI alumni; and SSgt Kyna Johnson, Executive Assistant to the AETC Command Chief Master Sergeant at the TUI table. This impressive group was accompanied by TUI’s very own CMSgt (Ret) Mark Luzader, former AETC Command Chief Master Sergeant and TUI’s Senior Director for Military and Veterans Outreach; Dr. Steven Gold, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Organizational Studies, TUI; Lynn Bernstein, V/P of Human Resources, TUI; and Kendra Temple, Director of Military Outreach, TUI.
