January 4, 2019 – Cypress, CA – Trident University International (Trident) was proud to partner with Joint Base Los Alamitos and the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce’s annual Adopt-a-Family program. With the exit of a key sponsor, Trident was honored to be invited to take part in this donation drive that helped local military families.
In the end, the Trident community was able to raise $4,900 for these families. This far outpaced the initial goal of $1,225. Due to the generosity of all of those who donated their time and money, 49 military families received $100 supermarket gift cards.
“We can’t thank the Chamber of Commerce enough for inviting us to be part of this donation drive,” stated Kendra Temple, Director of Alumni Engagement. “Everyone at Trident came together to deliver some holiday joy to those who need a helping hand.”
Trident and its faculty and staff are frequently involved in philanthropic activities, both locally and nationally. Over the past, the University hosted its third annual Gary Sinise Foundation’s Snowball Express event and assembled care packages for veterans in conjunction with both the Austin VA Outpatient Clinic and the Long Beach VA Hospital.
Trident is also active in the annual Race on the Base, held each year at Joint Base Los Alamitos in Los Alamitos, CA. Learn more about Trident’s dedication to military and veteran populations and its local community.
