Cypress, CA – September 16, 2011 – Trident University International (TUI) is pleased to announce its participation in the 2011 Air Force Marathon. TUI is a Gold sponsor for the races that will take place this Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. Runners will compete in a 5k, 10k, half- or full- marathon.
In addition to the marathon, TUI is also participating in the Sports & Fitness Expo for participants at Wright State University’s Nutter Center. “We are thrilled to be a part of this fantastic event that promotes wellness and community,” says Nolan Miura, president, Trident University International. “This sponsorship reinforces our ongoing commitment and support of the United States Air Force. We look forward to supporting and spending time with our Air Force family at this year’s marathon events.”
The first official Air Force Marathon took place on September 20, 1997 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Air Force. The race is held the third Saturday in September each year in celebration. 2011 marks the 15th year of the marathon and coincides with the 64th anniversary of the Air Force.
